Comments

  1. F5 also refreshs/reloads

  2. CTRL+F4: closes a tab
    CTRL+N: opens a new window
ALT+D: also highlights address bar (in most browsers).

  3. These don’t work for the Mac. Can you publish a similar Mac list?

    Thanks,
    David

  4. @David Jefferson: I believe the commands are similar, however, try the commands with these changes for Mac:

Mac uses CMD instead of CTRL as the accelerator key. Mac uses OPTION instead of ALT.

  5. Another great shortcut is CTRL+F12 which will undo a closed tab in Firefox 2.

  6. Use the Command Key on a Mac. However the command on a Mac to open the history menu is SHIFT+COMMAND+H. COMMAND+H Hides the program that is active.

  7. this should speed things up a bit. Thanks.

  8. Great list!

Ctrl j will re-open a download window if you’ve got it set to close automatically after download.

  9. Leave it to the mac users… lol.

  10. F6 will also select the address bar.

  11. ESC stops the page loading.

  12. I use forums and the Alt+S shortcut regularly. In Firefox 2.0, this shortcut was axed in favor of the History menu that I don’t really care for. Is there some way to restore this?
