PC Decrapifier: Vista Support in Beta
Last year, a guy named Jason York was irked at how much work it took to uninstall the myriad of trialware that came preinstalled with a new PC. This trialware not only takes up disk space and clutters up the desktop with icons, it chews up cycles at boot time with all of those “helpful” utilities that check for the latest updates. So, he decided it was high time to automate the process of taking out the trash, and thus the PC Decrapifier was born.
The PC Decrapifier is particularly aimed at Dell PCs, but should work with any PC that comes with any of the same trialware titles preinstalled. There is a tried-and-true XP version (1.7), and a Vista version in public beta test (1.7.1 beta 2). He says to look for a final version (1.8) shortly.
