Every once in a while, Windows Explorer hangs on my machine. (I’m running Windows XP. ) I’ll be able to switch between programs using alt+tab and all my running software still runs, but nothing I do will get Windows Explorer going again. In previous versions of Windows I could kill the Explorer using the task manager and the operating system would restart it. XP doesn’t do that anymore, which really surprised me the first time I did this. “Now what?” I thought. The only thing left to do is hard reboot, right? Nope!

Cell phone networks provide e-mail addresses that correspond to the cell phone numbers. For example, to send an e-mail message to a Cingular cellular phone, simply address your e-mail to nnnnnnnnnn@cingularME.com, where nnnnnnnnnn is the 10-digit phone number.

The Windows Explorer allows files to be renamed easily, by single clicking on the name and then editing it; however, this can be quite tedious if there are many files to be renamed. (Attempting to select a range of files and then using right-click + Rename doesn’t work. Only the last file in the range is renamed.)

RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, lets you subscribe to as many automated update feeds as you like; RSS aggregators let you gather all those newsfeeds into one place.
